Tickle

I'm not sure if Noah is ticklish or if he just understands it's a game. Either way, I love it.

Breaking News

Breaking through the gums, in fact. On the lower RH side, a little tooth made its first appearance last night. Today, I decided to try to photograph it. It did not go well.

Well, looks like you'll have to wait. Until it's big enough to be photographed by mistake.

We harvested our the first tomatoes from our garden this evening. They were considerably easier to photograph.

And Noah is still adorable when clean.

Camping!

I call this one "Family Portrait, in Tent"

We had a great time camping this weekend. Noah helped Chad set up the tent:

We went on a nice hike, please notice the matching father & son uniforms.

Noah found the hike a bit tiring.

Actually, we were all pretty beat afterwards.

Noah got to stay up WAY past his bedtime. Mostly because he refused to go to sleep in the tent.

How is one supposed to sleep when they have to work on getting ready to crawl?

Besides, it is so much fun to play in the tent.

Even with the lack of sleep, a great weekend. Luckily we have fun friends who will let us babify the camping trip, and also jump in and intervene when Noah grabs a handful of gravel for a small snack...

Another busy summer day

Today we took Noah to swim in the pool at our friends' house.

He seemed to really like it. No surprise, based on how much he liked the baby pool.

He also liked having his picture taken. :)

Rebecca was nice enough to let Noah use her old floaty toy, which he loved. He just floated around, happily splashing, chewing on a toy or just looking around.

Then it was off to a different party, where Noah got to catch up with some of his friends.

Noah is actually pretty fun to have at parties.

Especially when there are other babies' toys to chew on.

Saturday!

What a busy day today! Noah got a new toy, because I am physically unable to go to babies backwards R us without making impulse purchases. I think it is some kind of hormone imbalance.

It is brightly colored and plastic, which is basically how we qualify toys around here.

I think he likes it. :)

Look at that dimple!

Also, today Aunt Sarah and Uncle Al came to visit! They also liked the new toy.

And had fun reading with Noah.

It is beautiful out today, so we also spent some quality time in the pool.

Uncle Al instructed Noah on the finer points of competitive swimming.

Also, Noah has been working on his flexibility. It is hard to see in this photo, but here he is actually chewing on his toe. I understand his confusion, it was pretty much just like a prune by that point.

He really likes the pool. By the end he was just dipping his face in the water to try it out. Summer is so much fun!!

Also, summer is time for relaxing.

Seriously. It's only 3pm and we are pooped!

more cups

Let me present "Baby with Cups" act 2 (of 200,000, watch out)

I never get tired of watching him play with things.

Noah never gets tired of watching the astonishing camera.

Also, Entropy took about the cutest catnap ever this evening, in the window frame.

Another day

Noah LOVES his sippy cup, but is terrible at using it. I took a video so we can compare in a few months when he is a sippy cup master. And so we can see how cute he is as he tries to figure it out.

In the meantime, we just hold the cup for him so he can take sips of water. He loves to drink water, just like mommy and grammy.

Better baby

Sorry there hasn't been an update since announcing Noah was sick. He is feeling much better now. The fever is gone and now he is just a little extra tired and ear pully. Grammy has been here to help and to watch him during the day, which has just been awesome.

Also awesome, a baby who, after a little blip at 4:30 stayed happy in his crib until 6:38!!!!

(that is exciting becauae it is a good hour later than usual) Even while under the weather he is clearly the best baby ever.
