The weather is still a little cold, but melty enough to get out on our bikes.

Action shot!!

Look! I can still ride my bike even though my rain boots weigh roughly the same as my legs!

We went down the street so Noah could race his friend Adam.  Noah is way too big for the balance bike but still insists on riding that one, we are trying to go with the flow and hope peer pressure will move him over to the big kid one eventually.  It worked shortly after these races, he switched to the yellow bike with training wheels and did a great job.

Science!! (Museum of)

A few weeks ago we spent the morning a the Museum of Science.  We saw some newly-hatched chicks...

Look, Noah! There's a baby chick!

And checked out a glass beehive...

I am finding the queen bee!

 And some kinetic sculpture...

And, of course, the dinosaurs

that's a huuuuge dinosaur!

and a huuuge dino hand!

We had some great short track sledding on the small hill near the elementary school

And for the other child...

uh oh the child does not seem to be heavy enough to keep the sled on the ground...

Meh, who needs sleds anyway?

Purim time means time for my favorite baking event of the year: hamantaschen!!

Noah and Eva did a great job of cutting out circles using plastic cups

And were surprisingly adept at folding

this is serious business

Eva: I'm going to fold it extra times!  Look I will fold it ten times!

Chag Purim

Happy Purim!!

(from a scientist, a princess, a dragon, and the doctor).

Just so you know, dragons and princesses can do all of the fun stuff we usually do.

they can play with dollhouses

 and make groggers

though dragons may have to hold their head funny so they can see out the eye holes

We enjoyed our temple purim party again this year

The pink princess costume was very popular

Eva: no, our costumes are different because my crown is silver and Estie's crown is different than silver

cheese!  Can we have another cookie now?

We like the purim party because everyone is in a good mood, the songs and the spiel are funny, and it's fun to wear costumes and stay up late and eat lots of cookies  Though I am concerned Noah took it a bit too far..

I ate an extra hamenaschen and now my nose feels funny...

Another Silly Dance

I don't even know with this one.  I just keep reminding myself creativity is a gift, no matter how bizarre.
