Delayed gratification

Noah got some excellent presents for Christmas and Hanukkah, but we couldn't use all of them right away. Luckily, it was absolutely beautiful this weekend so we could give them a try.

We put together Noah's tricycle and took him for a spin.

This way, Daddy!

Next, Chad and Noah went around and around and around the back patio, at top trycicle speed. Noah was just hanging on and saying "wheeeeeeeeeee" breath "wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee" breath "weeeeeeeeeeeeee"

It was pretty cute. :)

Also, our back yard has recently become home to a Noah-sized playground, and Noah has recently become the owner of a new badass hat. This hat fits right in with our strategy of not realizing we are totally unprepared for a new season until we're wheeling him around on his new tricycle wearing a thimble on his head.

Anyway, Noah likes his playground and his hat.

I think pirate captain Noah is a bit confused about how to use the spyglass.

I wonder if he could also tell me why a castle needs a steering wheel and a spyglass. Also why there were all of those extra pieces in the box. Also why they didn't put all of the pieces I was actually supposed to use in there. Perhaps the folks at Little Tykes were having a rough morning. Luckily, they got enough of the correct pieces for the playground to be totally usable, and we had lots of fun with is this weekend. Look! A swing!

"weeeeee" breath "wheeeeee!"

  2. Actually, he likes it so much it's a little bit of a problem. We store it in the back room by his stroller and if he notices it he throws a temper tantrum because we won't let him play with it. Even if, for example, it is raining and nighttime.
