Budding Pianist

Noah took a turn at Grandma's piano today.

We think he was great.

Another feat of strength

The last few days of last week Noah's teachers started telling me how Noah was working on holding his own bottle. Today Saba was babysitting and we got home just in time to see it for ourselves!

He's so big!!

Cousins

Noah loves his cousins

Everything they do is fascinating

Chad finds them fun as well

We had a great visit with lots of silliness, and arrived at Saba and Nana's house at banana time.

Grauation Party

We had a lovely te at Shane's graduation party. Congratulations Shane! Here is the graduate himself, about to get dunked.

What - you didn't have a dunk tank at you graduation party? Noah also took a turn on the dunk tank (for photographic purposes only).

Noah showed Mima how well he can sit up now.

And we tried out the hat in anticipation of his graduation. In 2027.

Sitting

Look what Noah can do!!

When we sit him up he can stay there for several minutes. It is very impressive. He basically figured it out over the last two days - it is amazing how quickly he improves once he figures out how to do something.

We brought Noah's chair outside for dinner tonight so he could chat with us.

And his hair is really getting out of control. Maybe he should become a monk.

Mr. Tortuga

Noah loves Mr Tortuga.

Especailly when he is flying overhead.

Noah is also interested in the phone

Oooh I want it I want to grab it

ooh I've got it here comes the mouth...

Perhaps now is the appropriate time to instigate the " no playing with mommy's phone" rule...

Beer for teething

In one of our prouder parenting moments thus far, we allowed Noah to play with a cold beer bottle. He was not to be deterred. Now that he can roll purposefully he really goes after stuff.

While not an ideal toy for babies, the bottle is nice and cold...

And probably feels good on his teeth.

Swing!

Birthday Party

What a fun day yesterday! We started out with a play date with the mirror.

And then we took Noah to the pool for the first time.

And then over to mima and oompa's house for Jenna and Joli's birthday party, where we encountered the coolest yard toy I've ever seen.

Noah loved playing in the balls with his cousins (before the water was turned on)

Basically, Noah likes doing anything with his cousins.

Happy father's day Oompa!

Not bouncing

My new phone lets me take and edit video, but I haven't yet figured out how to use the phone to post the video to the blog. In the meantime, enjoy the link.

Mima's house

We hit the road again today, making a pit stop in our favorite rest stop on the garden state parkway

Also, in Connecticut. Noah was not crazy about CT.

It is hard to see, but his pin says "greetings from connecticut.

Noah had a great time playing with his cousins

And was very happy to see his Mima again.

Evening Fun

Noah is even cuter on the mat then ever. He scooted around until he could hold one of the legs with his feet, and then cracked himself up by shaking his toys.

And, of course, the rolling.

Also, we had carrots and oatmeal for dinner.

Noah took some time between bites to smear carrots all over his face.

Chad spent the good part of bathime cleaning the carrots from his eyelashes.

Big Night

Noah slept on his tummy all night last night. He would prefer not to, but we refuse to keep coming in to flip him over. After some initial complaining (to put it mildly), he actually slept pretty well.

Things that I did not capture on film this evening but wish I did include the following:

Noah hanging out in the bouncer, looking up at me, flinging himself into a few bounces, then smiling, super proud of himself.

Noah trying apples for the first time

Noah sucking his thumb and sticking his finger waaay up his nose by mistake, starting a sneezing fit.

Noah lying on his back, noticing a toy by his shoulder, and rolling all the way over to get it. This is especially cute since it takes a good 5 seconds for him to roll from back to front.

Pool!!

Today we went to a lovely BBQ, and Noah got to try out the pool with the big kids.

Jack even offered to share his toys...

Unfortunately the water was pretty cold so the excitement didn't last.

But doesn't he look adorable in his swim diaper?

Sarah and Al!

Work is going well, but very tiring. I am officially giving up trying to post every day. Too damn tiring.

In other news, look at the pictures of Sarah and Al's wedding!!!

Strong Baby

Noah is getting much better at tummy time. He can push his chest up off of the floor and is really really trying to get his legs under him.

He also likes to buzz his lips during the process. We're not really sure why. We enjoy it because he is able to look around and smile at us.

And oatmeal. Yum!
