Still Here

Noah is still cute

Max is still demanding attention from Chad

Dinner Entertainment

Noah did a great job of entertaining himself (and us) during dinner tonight.

He did this for like a half hour, at which point he had too much and began to get angry at the toys.

Cuddly Sunday

It is rainy and gross out today, so instead of assembling our new composter we've been chilling indoors.

Noah is usually cuddly on Sunday (and every day). Max, on the other hand, is a bit more of a surprise.

I understand, though. Everyone needs some quality Chad time now and again.

Lots to say

We had a big week this week. Noah would like to tell you about it:

Play date

In the interest of full disclosure, the oldest baby here is 5 months old, so the play date is really more for the mommies. Yes, there was wine.

We got a few fun shots of all the babies together:

Clockwise, from Noah: Asher, Keegan, Alex, Daniel, Gavin, Maytal, and Henry. Notice there is only one girl (good thing she's wearing pink). Come to think of it, this ratio is a lot like engineering school...

Nice orange socks, huh?

Noah spent a bit of time chatting with Gavin:

About one minute later Gavin reached out and grabbed a fistful of Noah's hair. It was pretty funny. Noah doesn't have the most hair of any of the babies (I think that award goes to Alex) but he certainly has the longest. If I was a 5 month old I would probably grab it as well.

Thursday Fun

Noah got to catch up with his friend Maytal at support group this morning. After eating, Noah weighed in at a whopping 15 lbs 1 oz. Clearly he did not miss any meals during the trip.

Maytal is trying to teach Noah how to roll over.

For our dinnertime entertainment this evening, Noah showed us how he can really whack the toys in his bouncer (he previously could just baaaaarely reach them).

Of course, this activity is basically impossible to capture on film.

Daddy and Noah

We brought Noah into bed with us this morning, trying to get another hour of sleep out of him. Eventually, I got up and saw Noah and Chad like this:

Seriously. This picture was not staged. Two of a kind, huh.

There was lots of good daddy time today. There was playtime in the morning:

A nice nap:

A trip to McDonalds on the way to Boston:

And more playtime in the evening.

I think that Noah will end up looking a lot like Chad. And even if he doesn't, I expect him to act a lot like Chad. I see them making the same facial expressions all the time. And did you see that first picture? I guess I could do worse than the two of them. :)

On the road again

This weekend we took Noah to Mima and Oompa's house for a visit. Oompa gave Noah a tour of their new (in progress) kitchen.

Noah thought it was so great he had no choice but to cuddle up and get ready to go to sleep. :) Overall, a great visit!

Tummy time, with friend

Entropy is more interested in tummy time... perhaps she will continue to get closer and eventually join in?

Too cute to nap!

It is amazing how someone with such old man hair can be so cute!

There has been no more rolling over as of yet. Instead, Noah is working on something like bridge pose, where he pushes down with his feet and arches his back into the air.

It doesn't result in rolling over yet, but I am concerned he will launch himself off of the changing table soon. This is why we are practicing on the ground.

There were three in the bed and the little one said...

Noah, our little gymnast, rolled over this morning! From front to back, during tummy time with Chad. He tried to set Noah up to do it again to be captured on film, but Noah was done. Maybe tomorrow!

Cell phone pictures

Today's narration is brought to you by the letter O. For "oooooooooh"

What is this? This is different from the camera you people usually shove in my face...

Oh yay - mommy is still over there. This is the game I recognize after all.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

84 years old, celebrated with four generations on hand to eat cake.

Ok, only three generations actually ate any cake. The fourth is not allowed to eat cake until he grows some teeth.

Things look different from down here

Sorry for the delay in posting. We were distracted by a great trip to NY this weekend which resulted in in 1) much running off to drink wine instead of writing blog posts and 2) leaving our camera in NY. Now that I think about it, perhaps those two things are very closely linked. So currently we are at the mercy of re-posting pictures uploaded by others (note to Mom: thank you! note to others: upload pictures please!!!)

The other thing that resulted from this trip is I am unreasonably excited about Sarah and Alex's wedding. Oh wait, perhaps that is also closely related to the wine. Whatever. :)

Tummy time, with turtleneck

It is cold in Trumansburg, so the turtleneck onsie is perfect. Did I mention it is a 6 month size? And Noah is only 9 weeks old? Must be the giant diaper.

why hello cow.

So we meet again.

Two months, with tongue

Noah turned two months old today. He is cooing all the time now, and apparently, playing with his tongue.

We also took him in for his two month doctor's appointment, and his stats are as follows:

height: 23.75 inches (80th percentile)
weight: 13 lbs 15.1 oz (93rd percentile)
head circumference: 15.51 inches (36th percentile... perhaps his head isn't as giant as I had thought)

The doctor said he had the neck control of a four month old. We are very proud. :)

Also, he seemed to really like the table in the doctor's office. Probably because the paper made so much noise when he moved. Fun fun!

Curly Hair

Seriously, I swear it is super curly after the bath. And then it dries to wispiness that is impossible to capture on film but I am telling you it is adorable.

Sunday, March 8, 2009

You're going to do what with my diaper?

Fun with Diapers

One of Noah's favorite places continues to be his changing table. Often we get lots of smiles just by putting him down there, like we did this morning.

Saba is Back!

And Noah still thinks he's funny.

Noah's buddies

Noah got to play with some of his little friends today. Here he is with Maytal, mugging for the camera.

He also spent some time with his buddy Benjamin. Ben was very interested in keeping Noah's hand out of his mouth.

And last week he got to be in a picture with a bunch of other yoga babies.

From left: Henry, Caroline, Gavin, Asher, Eliza, and Noah. Just out of frame, all of the moms ready to leap at the first sign of a baby sliding off the couch.

Party at our house

A bunch of Noah's friends and their mommies came over for lunch today. They travel in style!

(from top: Caroline, Noah, Eliza, Maytal, Daniel and Gavin)

Also, Noah is totally a baby on the move.
