Eva likes the hat, at least...
Noah and Eva like to pretend to be chimpanzees.
And then they just climb a lot.
We went to the beach last weekend and it was awesome
It was actually a pretty spectacular castle (by our standards, at least)
And Eva found a lot of treasures.
Perfect day!!
We went to TouchTomorrow | at WPI and it was a big hit.
The kids got to build some towers
Noah got to drive some robots
And he talked for a long time with some kids who compete in FIRST robotics
(he was impressed by all the robots, but I think especially impressed by robots that were run by kids)
This is how inspiration happens, people...
And then Eva flew an airplane to the moon.
So we got a slightly larger kiddie pool this year
Yay Summer!!!
The other night I went in to check on the kids before I went to bed and found this...
I have no idea what was going on there. But it was less weird than a few days later when I went in to tell the to be quiet and go to sleep and found they had moved all the furniture in the room around. Clearly these two are trouble.
Eva reviews my thermal analysis notes...
(in her defense, thermal analysis of polymers is actually pretty interesting stuff... )
We went to the Museum of science for the first time in a while. Eva spent a long time pulling out drawers and pointing at various specimens.
And then both children flew into space. The end.
The other day we unexpectedly ran into Frieda and Rose at the park. The four kids first acted out an elaborate scenario involving putting people in jail.
Then they proceeded to work together to push each other around the field in a broken down plastic car
The car pushing was really quite awesome - they would push for a while and then have to stop so Noah could adjust the front wheels (it seems that he was the only one that really understood the concept of steering). But even with that small setback they played at this for a long time (with no parental help at all) and all four of them got a turn. Rose and Frieda may have pushed Noah in the car into a fence.. but happily no permanent damage.
