Kids with backpacks

Noah and Caroline had a playdate the other day, and decided they wanted to wear backpacks and tear around the house.

Always eager to report such exceptional cuteness to you, we tried to get the kids to cooperate with a brief video.

Turns out a still shot is the best we could do.

Clearly Noah & his friend Rostam are lunatics. They just started doing this on their own, cracking us up. The younger siblings don't know what to think.

p.s. from Madison

I forgot one of the funniest things that happened in Madison - I came downstairs at Sarah & Alex's house to find the following:

Yes, that is Chad, my seriously not a dog person husband, with Sarah & Alex's pit bull on his lap. I don't think anyone really knows how this happened, but I take it as proof that Max accepted us into the family. :)

Away we went

The trip to Madison went really well. Noah loved the airport and the plane, as expected. The first 15 minutes of our flight he just exclaimed "we're on a plane!!!" over and over again. Super cute.

Chad borrowed and Ipad from work, and Noah was thrilled with his new headphones. He learned his way around the ipad astonishingly quickly, leaving me with a vague "kids these days.. " kind of old person feeling.

Eva had a bit of screaming on the plane that seriously concerned my seatmate, but for a baby her age I think she generally did great.

We had some lovely family time, including a brief wedding shower

And a seriously dessert-heavy baby shower

And a wonderful Seder at which Noah rocked the frog song, found the afikomen, and chowed down on his first bowl of Matzo ball soup.

All in all, a totally successful trip.
