We went to a fancy party!

Grandma's hat

After thanksgiving we took a trip up to Tully, and then to Ithaca to visit Grandma.  Noah showed her how he makes paper airplanes.

Then they decided to tackle a new project, figuring how to make some hats.

Success!!

We also tried making paper boats, let's just say these were not so successful.  But a great visit even if the paper boats didn't survive. :)

Ed. note: yes, the blog has suffered lately.  I will try to fill in some gaps for Oct & Nov and get a bit more posted going forward.

Halloween

This year we had Tinkerbell and Captain Hook for Halloween.

Eva was very serious about her role.

And we met up with the neighbor kids for trick-or-treating

It is fun to see how much bigger these kids are from a year ago (or longer, or longer still).

Anyway we went trick or treating and brought home some candy

And then got serious about the haul.

Pumpkinheads

The kids went all out with their pumpkins this year...

Marathon

Daddy ran a marathon!!  We braved the cold to cheer him on.

He finished in 3:55 and we were very very proud.

I also wanted to capture the signs Noah and Eva made.

Eva had a great idea for hers.  She told me where to write the letters, then drew herself yelling them.

Noah did his entire sign himself.  I did not help in any way.  My favorite part is the picture of daddy running and smiling.

Go Daddy!  Run and Run!!!

Half pipe

The other day we went over to Marlboro so Noah could ride his bike around the park near Grammy and Grammy Sue's house.  For some reason he required both sunglasses and gardening gloves to do this... 

We also played on the playground and also ran up and down the half-pipe.  Grammy took two pictures of this.  One that is a happy family shot:

Broadmoor

We are Audubon Society members even though we do not have the patience or ability to be quiet required for birdwatching (though we are interested in birds), because they keep great wildlife sanctuaries near us that we like to visit.  One of our favorites is Broadmoor, where we recently saw a ton of turtles, some frogs,  a snake, two swans, and a lot of fun rocks.
